"Mrs. Frances Studer, wife of Edward Studer departed this life,on Thursday
morning May 6th at 3 O'clock AM. She was born in Strahlungen, Bavaria, October 1st 1852 and was married at the German Catholic Church in Rock Island Illinois in 1875 to Edward Studer. To them was born 9 children, six of whom with her husband survive her. They are Mrs. John A. Murphy of Coal Valley, Mrs. Robert Sackville of Rock Island, Outis who is living somewhere in the west, John, Kate and Josephine at home. One sister Barbara Hein, in Bavaria and one brother Charles Reiher resides in Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Studer was a true Christian, a Devout Catholic, a faithful wife and a loving and indulgent mother. She was respected by all who knew her. May her soul rest in peace."
